Dool
Dool hasdeveloped their own unique sound mixing progressive rock music with metal,post-rock and catchy song writing. After their first two albums, they havereleased The Shape of Fluidity (2024), a reference to Heraclitus’sphilosophy: Everything flows, all things come into being by conflict ofopposites, and nothing ever stays the same.
Dool askshow we are expected to being ourselves in a world so incredibly demanding,ever-changing and uncertain, how do we make peace with chaos and impermanence? To find ourselves, we must become fluid or at least learn to swim upstream.
Theidentification with fluidity has a personal story, as lead singer, Raven vanDorst, was born intersex and as an infant surgically forced to live their lifeas a girl until later deciding to change their name and embracing theirhermaphroditic nature.
