We’re adding four more acts to the 2024 festival program, which once again will feature both new and more classical artists within the dark and heavy as well as more experimental and genre bending realms of rock music. The 2024 festival marks the eighth edition and will take place from May 16 to May 18, once again with its natural center around VEGA in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.
The festival will feature approximately 25 acts from around the world, with a good number already announced, including headliners Wolves In The Throne Room (US) and Lite (JP). Today, the lineup expands to include the sludge ensemble ATTAN (NO), shoegazeres Cloakroom (US), the experimental post-punk orchestra GGGOLDDD (NL), post-rock quartet Indignu (PT), and kraut stoner trio Karambolage (DK).
Last but not least, festival goers can look forward to a performance by guitarist Anna Roemer (DK), who, in collaboration with saxophonist Ned Ferm, is set to deliver one of a total of four immersive concerts at this year’s festival.
For the first time, A COLOSSAL WEEKEND will introduce a series of immersive concerts, with Anna Roemer, alongside Ned Fern, being one of them. These immersive concerts will provide all-encompassing listening experiences, carefully curated and designed specifically for A COLOSSAL WEEKEND. From a technical perspective, an immersive sound setup consists of no less than eighteen speakers, configured according to the act performing on stage.
