A COLOSSAL WEEKEND 2024 taks place on May 16-18 and is the 8th edition of the festival which have been running annually since 2016 with 2020 as the only exception due to Covid 19.
We define ourself as a ‘genre crossing, boundary pushing, experimental festival within The Realm of ‘Heavy’. Throughout the years we have hosted artists like Cult of Luna, Deafheaven, Alcest, Sumac, Emma Ruth Rundle, This Will Destroy You, Russian Circles, Built to Spill, Speaker Bite Me, Solbrud, Liturgy, Yob and many more.
A COLOSSAL WEEKED takes place at the Vesterbro area in Copenhagen, centered around VEGA, one of Europe’s leading venues in terms of sound, architecture and artistic vision. Other nearby venues are also part of the festival – mainly the enxt door neighbour to VEGA, the underground venue BASEMENT which adds a beautiful contrast with it’s raw and urban feel. Also the court yard of BASEMENT serves as natural hangout spot during the festival.

GETTING THERE
Adresses are:
VEGA: Enghavevej 40, 1674 Copenhagen V
BASEMENT: Enghavevej 42, 1674 Copenhagen V
We recommend using public transportation. The Copenhagen Metro is running 24-7 and the nearest stop is ‘ENGHAVE PLADS’ a short walk from VEGA & BASEMENT.
From the Central Station (Hovedbanegården) bus 23 runs towards Valby St. and stops at Enghave Plads near VEGA & BASEMENT.
PARKING
Close to VEGA at the end of Rejsbygade, you’ll find a public car park with 77 parking spaces. The rules for parking are the same as on the side streets around VEGA, which belong to the blue parking zone, licence zone Enghaveparken.
FOOD & DRINKS
Bars are found around the venues – all of them provide a selection of non-alcoholic & alcoholic drinks.
There is no food sold at the festival but the area offers a wide selection of restaurants for all dietary needs and budgets.
ACOMMODATION
Close to the venues you will find plenty of hotels and hostels. Also public transport around Copenhagen is very efficient so where ever you choose to stay you will have smooth access.
